December 2011 Birchbox!

This was my 11th Birchbox!

My December Birchbox included the following:

• Harvey Prince Yogini fragrance
• Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink
• Olie Bilogique 004 Huile Moderne
• ShowStoppers Designer Fashion Tape
• EBOOST Orange Natural Energy Booster

First Impressions:

The Porefessional has a great texture, and feels fabulous on the face, i'm not sure if it actually camouflages my pores, but it did help my makeup stay on a bit longer, so that is always good. I probably wouldn't repurchase, because I'm in love with Hard Candy's Sheer Envy Primer, which I get a similar effect from and it is much cheaper than the $29 price tag on the porefessional. 

Yogini is an okay scent. I can definitely smell sandalwood, which I occasionally enjoy. I sprayed it on my arm about 5 hours ago, and I can still smell the scent on my arm. I'm not sure if I would repurchase this, because I didn't fall in love with in at first smell. I will definitely use the whole sample and see if it's something I can see myself wearing long term.

The Jouer lip gloss had a good texture. It wasn't sticky at all. It is a hot pink color that is supposed to look similar that the pink boxes that Birchbox ships in, and I'd say they did a pretty good job of matching the color. I really really do like the color, but it goes on sheer as crap. I'm used to super pigmented lip glosses I suppose. I would probably repurchase just because of the texture. I'd like to have it in another color perhaps.

The rest of the products I haven't actually tried yet. I'll probably try to mix the Olie Biologique essential oils into my foundation, since my skin has been very dry lately. I will let you know how that turns out. I will probably give the EBOOST energy booster packet to my boyfriend, because he likes energy boosting things. I have no idea what I'll do with the designer fashion tape, but I'll be sure to let you know if I use it.

Overall I would say I liked this month's Birchbox. I liked it quite a bit more than last months box. I was especially pleased to get the Porefessional primer, because I had been wanting to try it.
